Default Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I wanted to wish all of our American readers a very happy Thanksgiving. For those that don't know, Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October, so I've already had my turkey coma for the year. Of course, Christmas is coming soon, and that means more Turkey.

I feel very blessed by all the wonderful things I have in my life, and I'd encourage everyone reading this site to take a few moments to look at the good things they have in their life and appreciate them.

As a Noo Yawker (actually, worse - a commuter that passes through the hubs of the city), "that day" definitely put life into perspective. While I still go around worrying about what I do, I also thank {insert your higher deity here} for still being alive at the end of every day.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I don't have to worry about turkey-induced coma; I'm a vegetarian

Happy Thanksgiving to the rest of you, and when you can't get out of bed tomorrow, just have your Pocket PC by your side

Humm I bet you turkeys think thatThanksgiving is a holiday as much as ducks think that duck hunting is a sport. I am no vegeterian but there is only so much bird a man can eat. Thank god we have fish for Christmas.

Of course, I can eat just as much of this:

as I'm veggie, too..

Or Tofurkey as it is really called.

Being a Yankee living in Canada, I get to celebrate in October and November. Something goes for Canada Day and Independence Day. Twice the fun.

Ummm - pardon? Joke yes? No - we don't tend to celebrate the fact that we lost a colony. And please - it's the British - or were you meaning the English, Northern Irish, Welsh or Scots?

I went to Calgary for my honeymoon so we got to see the fireworks there (real fireworks, not a euphemism... ) and then come home and see them here. Good planning on my part.

Given that the British Empire  owned most of the world at one point or another, if they celebrated the loss of colonies they would be out on holiday more than at work...Hey, come to think of it, that would be pretty cool...
