Default Get Snails for 50% Off!

http://www.handango.com/PlatformPro...productId=24938

Snails is easily my favourite game for the Pocket PC - I've been playing it for months, and it's got the magical combination of addictive but simple gameplay, quality graphics, great sound effects, and at a $11.95, it's pretty affordable. For a limited time only, if you use the coupon code B546D3, you'll save an additional 50% off that price, making it a mere $5.97! This game is AWESOME, and at this price you can't lose. You can also download a trial version (affiliate) to check it out.

Some of the features that Snails offers:

"Special Effect Eye-candy, like smoke trails, flames, vectors, alpha-blended sparks, explosions, and weather effects!
Amazing Audio, including professional music, sound effects, and voices tailored specifically for the Pocket PC, with or without headphones!
Smooth Gameplay, with intuitive controls, a clean interface, and at a consistently smooth frame rate!
3 Different Snail Races: The Moogums, Lupeez, and Nooginz! Each with their own personality, including: special animations, voices, texts, root beer preference, and culture! Extra add-on races for Registered Users!
10 Unique Levels ranging from the Ancient Desert Sands, to the chilly Snowfields, up into Outer Space, and down below the sea!
Realistic Physics including gravity and weather which affects the way your Snails move and the weapon's reactions to the environment. E.g. Windy Snow in the Snowfields and Zero Gravity jumping in Outer Space."

I know this is the lazy way to find out but does the game work okay with the older IPaqs that had the crippled 5way control pad?

The game is all screen and stylus controlled - it's very well designed from an interface level. I don't even know if the direction pad does anything - I've never tried to use it.

I have an iPAQ 3670, and Snails was the first game I actually purchased for my Pocket PC way back when it was released (and I don't regret it one bit ). I end up using the stylus more than the pad while I'm playing it though.

Multiplayer over TCP/IP is almost done from what I understand, and with the 50% code, I managed to convince my brother to finally purchase it as well. There's a beta of version 1.8 up for download with a semi-working version of it if you've purchased the game, I believe.

i'm being absolutely lazy & haven't looked at the snails site to find this out yet. i downloaded the trial & couldn't get it to work completely (no sound) because i didn't have enough free memory, so i gave up on it.

at this great price though (& since everyone seems to be raving about this game) i'm willing to give it another go .. but! .. can it be installed & run from a cf card?

I've had Snails since it was first released, love it. Haven't played in quite awhile, but I'll probably pick it up again once the Axim gets here. At any rate, one of the best looking/playing games on the J525 save for maybe Diamond Mine.
