Three 3D Pocket PC Games
http://www.omnigsoft.com/
I just visited OmniG Software's site and saw three impressive Pocket PC games: "Mini-TransCanada is a real-time 3D racing game for Pocket PC. Featured with 17 family vehicles and 11 vitrual tracks, It allows you to experience the exciting high-speed car racing and enjoy the splendid natural and urban sceneries cross Canada." "Mini-Jetfight is a real-time aerial combat game for Pocket PC featured with famous supersonic jet fighters and air-to-air missiles. You can attack the enemies in a beyond-visual range combat by locking targets and launching A/A Missiles, you can also fire cannon and shoot enemies down in a close-in dogfighting-" "Mini-Dogfight - Now air combat fans can enjoy the exciting 3D dogfight game with their Pocket PC, in gorgeous natural scenes. Moreover, players can even feel the realistic G-force when they dogfight with other air aces."
Jason posted about Mini-TransCanada the other day, but I think all of them look amazing! They are available trough Handango and cost $19.95 each!

try before you buy. frame rate makes them unplayable.

Don't be fooled by the videos on the websites. They look like good frameretes, but they're being run on an emulator. At the end of the mini-dogfight video, a mouse pointer moves over the video (no it wasn't my mouse)
I'm sure the framerate sucks big time.

Thanks, guys, for the feedback!
Apparantly I should have tested myself first, but it is near impossible to test everything I post on... thanks for helping out!

I just tried the Jetfight demo and it was anything but awful. Maybe the frame rates aren't up there with PC action rates but it was definitely playable. They are probably at least 6-10/sec. It was actually one of the better if not the best 3D game I've tried on my Ipaq. The videos on the web site were actually quite accurate to the actual game play. Why don't you either try out the demo or if you did honestly evaluate the game before trashing it and ripping the thing to pieces.

Before accepting such grossly negative and unfair comments as fact maybe you should check it out before giving their opinions your endorsement. The developer obviously went to a lot of trouble and effort to produce the games, which appear to be quite impressive, at least after looking at the demo of the Jetfight product.

Ummm, why do you assume zlad didn't try the game or is being dishonest? He said he bought the games, and you even quoted it.

I tried the JetFight demo, and the frame rate was excellent, especially for a PocketPC. You can also alter the graphic detail level and turn sound on and off to improve the framerate on slower devices. Control was a bit difficult, but that isn't so different from most other PocketPC games.
The physics aren't so realistic, IMHO. Even with full throttle, it's nearly impossible to pull a loop in the jets offered, which is not like real-life.
My opinion: a good first start, and a good platform to build off of, however I'd like to see -
- More realistic HUD
- More realistic physics
- Key mapping
- Afterburner!

You're right, I shouldn't have implied he was being dishonest, just extremely unfair. I find it hard to imagine anybody calling the Jetfight program awful if they had given it a fair test. Although it's possible he had higher expectation if his only exposure had been desktop games. For a PPC game I felt it was very impressive.
