So you say you have a Pocket PC now running Linux, and you want to communicate with other devices? Check this article out.

Setting up Linux on the Ipaq is a breeze, a couple of hours worth of work if you are a Linux novice like me, it is what you do with it after that matters. While Linux might have its appeal the general lack of applications is what will have people swithching as soon as they have done the install. At least that was the case with me. It is a good learning experiance though.

Has anyone ever

1) synced a PPC or Linux embedded device with Linux?

2) Put Linux on a Toshiba e740?

Oooh... I can't wait for the responses.

I hope to get the Linux iPAQ back today for a longer period of time. A couple of my tasks will be....

- Get Bluetooth running
- Configure an unsupported WLAN card to work
- Test Syncing the PDA with Windows and Linux

Tell us how it went, I have an Ipaq 3630 gathering dust. Could be interesting to try Linux.

Send a message via MSN to klinux

I still can't believe no one (e.g. Sharp, Apple) has gotten the the linux running Zaurus to sync to a BSD running Mac yet.

juni: Go for it. There are many people that buy iPaqs JUST to run Linux, and it's always a fun project.
