Default Mobile UML Modeling

http://yellow.alte.pl/

UML stands for Unified Modeling Language and is a standardized way to model and design everything from business processes to low level software executables and more. Check out JUMLIX!

"JUMLIX is a UML modelling tool and it allows you to write down your idea quickly, while being far away from your PC. Be mobile and creative at the same time! JUMLIX supports six diagram types and three export formats which are easy to extend by installing new diagram/format plugin. This application is powerful modelling tool optimized to work on the small screen device."

Features include
"Diagrams:
 Class
 Sequence
 Use Case
 Activity
 State
 Package
Open/save formats:
 XML export/import
 Jpeg export
 HTML export"

Default Quirky screen arrangement

I don't know if its a fault with this product or the Jeode JVM (though I suspect the latter) but if it properly supported the pocket pc shell rather than creating a windows ce window, there would be slightly more screen real-estate - e.g. command bar at the bottom, startmenu at the top.

Nice idea though

Hmmm... interesting product. I could see this being of help to me when designing use case diagrams at work... no longer have to rely on Rational Rose.

I wonder if this can operate in landscape mode. That displayed sequence diagram, for instance, would be much easier to view in landscape.

I have a hard time imagining doing UML diagrams on a PDA. The screen is just too small. Now, a tool that supported the Tablet PC, on the other hand, could be really useful.

Default I have a hard time doing this work on a desktop

I agree with the concern about the screen size. I have a hard time doing this work on a desktop computer, I cannot begin to think about how this would work on a small screen. :!:

The Tablet PC runs a superset of Windows XP Pro... so any application that runs on your desktop with XP will run on a Tablet - like Rational Rose.

A question best asked in a new "Off Topic" thread....

However the developers would have to add some ink support if you wanted to be able to "doodle" and have this turned into a diagram.

I've been looking for a tool like this for years. I think UML modelling and my PPC is a perfect match. I would very much like to do it when I have unwanted waiting time...

...and then when one comes it's written in Java
