Beta Testing for Microsoft
https://www.betaplace.com/betaplace/content/AboutBetaPlace.htm
Ever wondered what who/what/where/why of beta testing software for Microsoft? Check this site out and you just might get lucky. I should note, however, that this probably won't include Pocket PC OS testing - Microsoft does largely internal testing with the Pocket PC OS. Source: Lockergnome Bits & Bytes.

Since Jason decided to post this I thought I would add to it. If any of you are interested in participating in the Office 11 Beta 2 program starting in Spring 2003 go to Betaplace and use the following login to fill out the participation questionnaire:
Username: GEXTSU
Password: B15LIMK
Microsoft was pretty lax in sending out the Beta 1 invites (I got in 8O ) so try your luck and you never know. I recommend that you only participate if you are going to provide feedback and be part of the process. If you're looking to score an Office 11, there are easier ways of doing it.
It would be great for people to use Outlook 11 and Activesync to try and fish out some of the annoying bugs between the 2 working together.

does microsoft develop any new applications for pocket pc? 8O
how could i forget -- they must need beta testers for those awesome power tools :P
aside from a tweak here or there i havent seen a whole lot of innovation.
also while microsoft is busy not making any new applications for their in house beta testers to test, could they at least give us back pocket access???

Hmm... MS does all their PPC testing 'in house' -- no wonder why some common sense things (like app close) never make it into the OS!!

Just be careful what you ask for...
I originally applied to be a beta tester for a single product. It (unfortunately?) has turned into a beta for another MUCH LARGER product that I don't have time to adequately test. :confused totally:
