New Toshiba Genio Models Released in Japan
http://www.mobigeeks.net/e/stories.php?story=02/10/31/8039402
It seems that Toshiba Japan is keeping busy - they just released two new Genio e550 models: the GS and the GX. Both have 400 mHZ Xscale CPUs, but now have the ability to underclock the CPU to 100 mHZ for power saving. The GX will come with 128 MB of RAM - nice! Source: PJE

Just for reference and comparison sake...
The current Genio e550G has the ability to underclock the CPU from 400 MHz to 200 MHz for power saving.

Yes, I was just relaying that the current U.S. e550G found in CompUSA stores can actually underclock to 200 MHz.
This can be found under Settings, System tab, Processor icon.

That looks like the same remote unit that works with the current e570/Maestro. I have it, it works pretty well.

Anyone know if thsi will be offered in the US and if so, when? I've got a brother who's comping at the bit to move form Palm to PocketPC and I've been trying to get him to wait a bit for some of the "next generation" ones to come out. This one would probably be one he's be interested in.
