iPAQ 1900 news

The Dutch Pocket PC Club received some interesting information from HP Netherlands. The iPAQ 1900 will be a USA only release, and will not come to Europe. The European market should get its own entry level iPAQ. More details are not known yet, but I guess this means that the 1900 is real, even when it will not be globally released. Thanks to Johan van Mierlo for pointing this out!

Huh...stumped us. Seems as if we all thought it 'had to be' fake. Myself included.

Oh the reason for this is so that they can continue to RIP US OFF!!! Damn it, we wait for ages before a model is finally released into Europe and then it's so much more expensive here too! The iPAQ 3970 currently goes for Euro�979.00 which is waaaaayyyy more than I can spend without the wife knowing! 8O
Come on the bargins!!

I really don't see the point of releasing different models for different countries, are the needs of Europeans really that different from the needs of Americans?
I doubt it...

�979??? Ouch! But that doesn't apply for all of Europe. For example here in Germany the 3970 was sold for about �900 on introduction but the price dropped quickly and now you can get the 3970 German version for �670 and the 3970 Euro-English version for about �710.
