fyi, the Toshiba e330 is already shipping from Amazon.com for $349.99. So it might be better to make an affiliate link to Amazon instead.

New Toshiba or New Viewsonic???
The Viewsonic V35 has a transflective screen, and virtually the same specs as the two new Toshiba's from what I've read. Does either one have a specialized video chip? Does one have longer battery life?
In short, what are the advantages to buying one over the other besides the superior screen on the Viewsonic?
Also - what is the casing on the Viewsonic? Metal or plastic? I know the Toshiba is metal.
I would love to see a thorough review on each of these. It sure would make a buying decision a lot easier! I'm sure some people have been playing with these for a few weeks now -

Looks like another "also ran" product to me.

At least without a serious price reduction it is. It's funny, Toshiba seemed to be moving pretty quickly for a while there and now they seem to have just stopped.

I got my e330 direct from Toshiba for $349.95 US. Plus, I got next day shipping for $10! The e335 is exactly the same only it comes with an additional piece of software...the exact title escapes me, but it's just image viewing-type stuff. Not really worth it for the extra cash. Overall, the Viewsonic is a better deal as you at least get a couple apps besides the 'standard' stuff. The e330 pretty much somes with nothing. As for the transflective screen...I've heard some people whine that they notice dust under the screen more. I can't really confirm this as I don't have a trans screen and I don't have any dust.

If they had chosen transflective displays instead of reflective, I would have purchased the e310 in a heart beat. But alas....

Let's not forget this has 64 MB instead of 32 MB in the e310...
