Searching for the UberApp
I know the answer is out there somewhere, so I thought I'd turn to you, my knowledgeable readers, for a solution. I'm looking for an application (or applications) that will allow me to know the weather in Calgary, the time zones around the world, and will also serve as a basic geography tool (because I like to see where countries around the world are). What are the best applications that would fulfill these needs? I'm aware of a few apps for time zones, but I haven't encountered one for geography. It seems like a no-brainer to make an application like this, but I haven't found one that brings it all together. Any suggestions?

Have you tried the CIA World Facts which is a Tomeraider file? It contains detail information on all countries including geography, population, government, economy, communication, transportation, and more information than you can use. And, the information is updated annually. It is a 2 megabyte Tomeraider file, so you can imagine the amount of information it contains.

Jason,
Worldmate will give you a 5 day forecast (from the weather channel) for Calgary. It has some other nice utilities like a world map, currency converter etc.
Check it out!

Cool - I didn't know they had a world map. This seems like the perfect app - thanks!

Check out Pocket Earth. I can't give you a link but you can find it on Handango (and PocketGear I think). This will not do everything you are looking for but it may come close in the geography department. It doesn't look like it would take much to include those other features, either. At any rate, this is a cool program as it stands, IMO, and worth checking out.

It's been a while since I've used it/loaded it on the PPC so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the world map used mostly as a time zone map? Actually, come to think of it, the list of cities was quite large and it had longitute/lattitude information.
