Toshiba e330
http://computer.toshiba.de/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/product_page.jsp?z=124&PRODUCT_ID=19550
While we're on the subject of entry level products let's see what Toshiba has up its sleeve. In a thread on the smoking deals on the Toshiba e310 Jason wrote that he expected an Xscale e330 version to be released soon. And Barry from Pocket PC Tools.com found a reference to that e330 on the German Toshiba site.

The specs show that Jason was right: a 300 MHz Xscale processor in the same package as the Toshiba e310. But next to the processor, also the internal RAM was upped from 32 MB in the e310 to 64 MB in the e330. The SRP is 599 including the high European VAT tarriff.

It is just a different version of the chip, just like you can get a Pentium IV in different speeds, OEM's can get them in different speeds as well. The fastest XScale is 400 and the slowest is 200 (that have been released), but they did origonally say that there was also 300MHz.

I wonder if they are all the same Chip, just with some software limiting throttle.
Wouldn't it be amusing if you can overclock the 300Mhz to say... 400 ?

I read somewhere (unfortunately I don't know where that was) that the Razor Zayo A600 has a turbo mode (who makes it a bit faster that all the other xscales) which is implemented with the help of Microsoft.
