256 meg SD Sandisk Cruzer for $159
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006HCHH/jasondunn-20
I think I posted on this a while back, but it's such a good deal I thought I'd post again - especially because I see people asking for SD cards. The Cruzer is a USB host container, allowing you to connect over USB to a PC and transfer files - it will appear as a local hard drive. What's even better? That the SD card inside the Cruzer is removable, allowing you to use that 256 MB SD card for anything else, including your Pocket PC. According to one customer review, it even works with Macs.

Was the issue with the iPaq and SanDisk SD ever resolved? This is a really great deal, but I'm leary about buying something that will not have compatibility with a wide array of devices. (I'm speaking in reference to the SD card itself, not the Cruzer)

iPaq issue?
Wasn't it an iPaq issue? I've been using a Sandisk SD card for about 6 months without a problem on my Casio E-200, so it must not be a Sandisk issue.
Now the big question... Can you plug the Cruzer into the USB host port of a Pocket PC? ;-)

Wow great deal, The 128 meg version is $99 bucks at CompUsa or Best Buy. Now on to buy a case for my PPC Phone...I think I will wait to see the Ivolution case from Vaja.

Mobile Planet
I just got mine for my Ipaq and I LOVE it 3 1/2 hours of music. I had absolutely no problems using mine.
But . . . I got mine from http://www.mobileplanet.com for the low low price of $149.95 + $6.53 s/h = $156.48
More importantly, they shipped it right away, and Amazon had no ship date.
Enjoy

You couldn't read/write data fast enough to warrant firewire.

Perhaps, but I'm not a Mobile Planet affiliate partner! For a difference of $3...help a brother out!

SanDisk SD Cards with iPAQs

I bought a SanDisk 128 MB card for my iPAQ 3870 when the deal was listed on the Pocket PC Thoughts home page. I haven't had any problems with it.
There was one issue, but not because of the SanDisk card. I also use a 256 MB CF card, and had all my MP3s on that, with several playlists. After putting in the SD card, whenever I did a soft reset, the SD card would be listed as "Storage Card" and the CF card would be listed as something else, breaking my playlists.
I tried renaming the SD card in the registry, but that didn't work. I eventually renamed the PCMCIA card in the registry to be "CF Storage Card" and edited my playlists on my laptop to change "Storage Card" to "CF Storage Card".
