Default Toshiba Bluetooth SD Card Review

http://www.sprinklerhead.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=3&page=1

Sprinklerhead.com, the "Pocket PC site with a funny name" takes a look at the Toshiba Bluetooth card. It would seem that while the card works well, the implementation and software is a little tricky to set up. Read the full review to find out why.

"Bluetooth. Some would say it's an emerging standard, others would say it's stillborn. Nevertheless it is increasingly more prevalent and in many opinions an increasingly more powerful method of connecting devices. Toshiba has entered the fray with a Bluetooth SD card. How does it fare? Overall pretty well."

Default Yes...but does it work with an IPAQ..

This is the question that no one has answered. IMO, the answer is no because the IPAQ's don't have an SDIO slot. Has anyone verified this one way or another?

I wonder if there is any improvement in speed as opposed to built-in bluetooth?

Bluetooth is Bluetooth, so speed is not going to increase that much from one card to the other. Only the drivers would be different.

For browsing, mail etc it should be more than fast enough, if you want to transfer huge files than you will not enjoy it.

I just picked up the Belkin CF Bluetooth card at buy.com for about 69.00usd. Along with the bluetooth dongle from ebay at 32.00usd. Bluetooth is finally living up to it's claim of being the less expensive alternative. Combine that with the T68i phone and you have always connected PPC for very little money.
