Default Pocket PC Video Tips

http://www.pocketpcmagic.com/video.html

The Pocket PC Magic site has a new section, called "Pocket PC Magic On The Small Screen," and it is really cool. It offers some short WMV clips that illustrate how to do all kinds of things on your Pocket PC. I've always believed that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I guess a video must be worth a couple of million words at least.

WARNING: The tips illustrated by these videos are basic and are intended for Pocket PC novices. They were deliberately created to help beginners, so if you consider yourself an "uber-expert" and are prone to angry flaming, you might just want to move on to the next Thoughts post.

If, on the other hand, you think you might be able to learn something new or just want to see this new teaching method, take a look at the videos. The topics covered are:

 On-device help
 Closing applications
 Media Player settings
 Adding favorites
 Toggling images in Internet Explorer
Showing one image in Internet Explorer
 Locking buttons

Love the pic of the guy with the helmet... that one had me cracking up. And the warning was quite hilarious too, if maybe a bit unnecessary. I'm hoping it was just there for humor, these are free after all. Doubt many would complain about that.

Though, after watching most of em, these are indeed for the extremely new. I'd sure hope anyone with a pocket pc could figure this out.

so these tips are all things that my informal focus group of new to somewhat new users wanted to do, we're adding new tips all the time.

the help "file" video is something that most people don't know, even experts have mailed me and said "wow, that was there all that time, yikes".

cheers,
pt
