Software That Can Get You Fired, Part I
http://www.un-wired.co.uk/acatalog/usl_pocket_pc_buzzword_bingo_ds.html
Every devoted Pocket PC owner has that ONE application that he or she is addicted to. Be honest, you know what I'm talking about...that game, that time waster, that you play with when you really should be working. I used to have a GREAT game, called Buzzword Bingo, for passing time during meetings, but it only works on my older Jornada. Well, TA-DA! I stumbled across a new incarnation on the UnWired Web site that is compatible with all processor types! I am SOOOO happy!

You've probably heard of this type of game before and how it's played during meetings. Based upon the various clichs and "buzzwords" that people use during the meeting, the player gets to mark off boxes in a grid. The goal, of course, is to end up with four selected boxes in a row, just like the old game, Bingo. The hard part is to not accidentally yell "Bingo!" when your colleague mentions that worn-out clich you've been waiting for.
I like this version even more than my old one, because it's completely customizable. You can create and edit your own lists of buzzwords (so you can put in your boss's *favorite* euphemism), select custom sounds and even select the picture that is revealed as the game progresses. And the best part? It's absolutely FREE! Happy, happy, joy, joy!
Now, if somebody could just come up with a BlueTooth IM client for "passing notes" during a meeting, I'd be all set!
How about YOU? What software do YOU play with when you really should be working?

With the Toshiba BT card there is an app called BT chat that allows you to chat over the BT connection....

I usually check out Pocket PC Thoughts on my Toshiba e740 during meetings.

Is that app available without the card? My guess is that it's configured for only that card, but it sure would be cool to use with my iPAQ 3870.

Brad, what is the message we should draw, that this little game makes you "Soooo happy???" Well, hopefully it's not that you need a life, and instead that you are just a supremely well balanced individual that is content with even the simple things in life! Hee hee.
But how about the developer making a few options....
"Bus bingo" or "Subway bingo" for the trip to the office? With phrases that are more likely to be heard there? Like "Hey buddy, got some change?" and you could reply: "No, but I just got BINGO!!! Thanks dude!"
Or maybe Job-specific bingo, like for hotel/restaurant employees, or government jobs, with buzz words common to that particular job.
"Air-traffic controller bingo" may not be a good choice though, they seem pretty busy as it is these days. :-)

They should add a few of Palm's buzz words to the list: User centric....consumer focused....mobile enabled productivity. And my personal favorite (coined by my avatar): Transparent elegance. ukeface:

Like my daddy always told me: "Simple things please simple minds."
