Default Version 2.0 of CedeZip

http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&platformId=2&productType=2&catalog=0&sectionId=0&productId=23660

Noisette Software Corporation has a new version of their compression and security utility, Cedezip.

"CedeZIP is designed to be fast and easy so that people can store more graphics, music and data files on their handhelds. Open, add, delete and extract operations can be performed in a single click. For example, a user can open a ZIP file and 'double tap' on a word processing document. The application will automatically extract and load the file into Microsoft Word. In addition, CedeZIP contains encryption and decryption capabilities so that sensitive information can be secured when transmitted over an unknown network."

This latest release includes some new features:

Runs on all Pocket PC platforms. XScale, ARM, MIPS and SH3 compatible
Faster operation - 10% speed increase
Enhanced properties. View archive statistics and 'size on disk' information
New multi-select feature. Select multiple files by tapping them
Updated user interface. The keyboard will dynamically appear to make text editing easier

I have to admit, I used to have a compression utility installed on my Pocket PC, but after my last hard reset, I never got around to reinstalling it because I wasn't sure how useful it was. What kind of compression and security tools should I be looking for?

This is a bit off topic, I know. It's more of a wish list than anything else

Since some people here are pretty PocketPC tech-savvy, how about compiling the open-source PGP encrypter for PocketPC. I know there is a version for PalmOS, so a PPC port should not be much of a problem.

That should take care of the security bit. As for compression... PGP compresses most files pretty good, but the standard, as we all know (and love) is .zip. Soooo, a winzip version for PPC should be in order.
