Rant coming...
Ok, I use Golfwits, which is the same idea, different approach. Here's my rant... why can't these companies move a little quicker and make better apps? Golfwits' input system (drawing on a downloaded course map) is very intuitive and much better than Intelligolf's. However, Intelligolf has better input for scoring multiple players, keeping side bets & such. I play a lot of golf, and bet a lot on the course. Part of the fun of golf is to relax with a beer after the round and figure up who owes what. But there are times when I want to get paid (yeah, right...I usually pay!) and the tracking of bets is a great tool for that. But when you can't keep up with all players in a round, then you can't use their tool. If these companies would merge, the consumer would be much better off. Why do these "innovative" companies stop with their R&D when they get a working version? Don't they want to continually improve? Arrrggghhh!! :bad-words:

Was it me or were PDA's used for the Open Championship
Poor Tiger Woods - The Scottish Elements conspired to destroy his slam attempt at the Open Championship at Muirfield in Scotland.
I was watching some of the coverage yesterday and after one of Tiger Woods drives a man ran onto the fairway measured the drive and seemed to record the details on a PDA.
Seems that a lot of statistics are compiled during these events and at other tournaments to - anyone know whether PDA's are used and if they are what software is used to compile the statistics.
I also wonder whether they use WiFi to beam stats back to a central computer and maybe an protective box (Especially for the Scottish Storms)
