Default Preview of the O2 Action Engine

http://www.ppcw.net/stories.php?story=02/07/16/8527317

Arne Hess has obtained a Mobile Services Framework product from Action Engine that will come with all mmO2 XDAs. It "provides a platform for the development and deployment of applications for wireless mobile devices. The framework uses a Smart Client/Smart Server architecture that addresses the unique limitations and capabilities of mobile devices. The goal is to build and deliver technology that makes the wireless Internet a valuable tool for all people. Action Engine sees the transformation of mobile devices from desktop companions to primary computing devices, and Action Engine hopes to enable that transformation."

He provides some interesting scenarios of how the mmO2 XDA and other Pocket PC Phone Edition and Smartphones may work in our everyday lives in the coming years. It looks very cool. If you are a developer interested in wireless development, you should check this out.

Not a whole lot of information in that story, but it sounds a lot like Palm's web clipping. The UI is stored on the device. Sounds good.
