Default Bluetooth for the Sendo Z100

http://www.infosync.no/news/newsbits/show.php?id=2003

Good news for all you potential Sendo Z100 owners!

"Sendo recently entered into an agreement by which Microtune will develop a Bluetooth-based hardware solution as an optional component to Sendos Z100 smartphone, based on Microsoft's Smartphone 2002 platform. Deploying its OneChip MT0760 technology, Microtune will design a secure digital input/output (SDIO) card for Sendos Z100 to enable the wireless exchange of information between it, a Bluetooth headset or other Bluetooth devices. Through the agreement, Sendo plans to extend the functionality of its Z100 Smartphone, offering users multifunctional voice, data and multimedia capabilities. The Z100 Smartphone will be introduced in Europe and the U.S. in the coming months, and Sendo plans to rollout Microtunes SDIO cards in the autumn of 2002." Source: Steven Cedrone

I think its great that theyre at least offering an add on. But this is an afterthought. Sendo didnt want to integrate BT in its phone at all for whatever reason, but now apparently sees this was a blunder on their part. I would not want to take up the SD slot for a BT card myself, but rather Id want to keep it for memory, and swapping constantly is out of the question. Bluetooth really needs to be integrated. For me personally, I wont purchase any Smartphone unless BT is integrated internally. But I do have to add, that the only way I would go for SD based BT, is if a Smartphone like the Sendo had two SD slots. Then Id be all for it.

Default Bluetooth support for the Z100 Smartphone

Sendo announced Bluetooth support for the Z100 Smartphone, which will be enabled by a plug-in module into the memory slot. The SDIO (Secure Digital Input/Output) card is a small expansion card, which allows wireless connectivity to a Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth enabled devices.
