hmmmm......I have serious problems paying more for the accessories then I originally did for the PDA.
If nothing else this might (Repeat MIGHT) drive down the price of lower end CF cards.
If nothing else this will be kick butt for digi-cam fans. Except me and my fellow Sony Cybershot owners where we are banished to the land of memorystick! :P

Though its MSRP is 799, you can find it for quite a bit cheaper. I have seen some prices under 600. MobilePlanet even has it for 699, and though that isn't 599 like some stores, it is better then the 799 from Sandisk.

Ed, i think you are right. The SANDISK that was being shown as a prototype (Dummy card) was type 1, but from what i have been hearing is that it will be type 2 for a while till they get the memory to fit into type 1 size. Type 2 is great .. I have two of the simple tech cards and they work great. I perfer these to my IBM 1gb Microdrive.. I dont have to be as careful.

Sandisk 1GB CF is indeed a Type I card
I was able to pick one up the other day, and it is most definitely a Type I CF card.
