Default Toshiba Pocket PCs don't support multiple button presses?

http://discussion.brighthand.com/showthread.php?s=7be2068c01adc86bab5f057cf483d1ae&threadid=54035

This Brighthand thread would seem to indicate that the new Toshiba Pocket PCs have the same problem that plagued the iPAQ. Can anyone with an e310 or e740 confirm this? Open up Pocket Excel, hold the control pad pressed downwards, then try to press the calendar button. Does it work? Thanks to Gary Richardson for bringing this to my attention.

i can do that just fine on my e310. But i think it is the leftmost button that cannot be used at the same time as the joystick or soemthing. Also, button mapping in some apps is a little buggy, like it detects buttons differently as my ipaq so i have to remap them (only in digdug though...)

My e740 will bring up the calander, using the calander button, while I am holding down the down joystick in Excel. I love this board. I have been viewing it almost every day for months. I am also very happy with my e740 so far. I have had it for 2 days and have not had time to use, or even turn on, the wireless. I have also not tried videos. I hope a fix for this problem is available sometime. Keep up the good work.
