Default MightySync by MyDocsUnlimited

http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&platformId=2&productType=2&catalog=0§ionId=0&productId=32175

Ever wanted to automatically sync your Pocket PC memory card with your desktop PC? Now you can! Great concept, glad to see someone finally doing this in a slick way.

"Sick and tired of copying files back and forth from your Pocket PC's My Documents subdirectory? There is a cure. Safely, quickly and automatically synchronize any file on your Pocket PC with any file on your Desktop computer or network accessible from your Desktop. Features include: a simple, clean user interface, fully automatic synchronization through ActiveSync and safeguards against accidentally deleting or overwriting files. MightySync does NOT replace ActiveSync, so all your email, contact and other synchronization will still function as it always has. Also your Pocket PC's "My Documents" directory will still synchronize as it always has, with the added functionality provided by MightySync." Source: jwf

Mightysync doesn't sync anything to your storage card. Only sub-folders of your My Documents folder.

Default at least we get subfolders-

No storage card. But the program seems to work pretty seamlessly. The interface is pretty good too for a $6 program.

Very handy!!! I always hated having to copy and paste stuff to the sync folder. Now if only I weren't afraid of linking Word desktop files with Pocket Word...Palm still has PocketPC beat in that category.

Uhm... ok. AS already does this unless you are talking folders 2+ levels down, but then your apps can't see it anyway.

I was wanting the memory card sync. Oh well. Maybe in a few more years.

The new version (2.0) of MightySync does indeed sync to a storage card. I've been experimenting with it today and I've synced a whole load of MP3s and iSilo documents straight to the card. If I delete or update a document on the card then re-sync, the desktop version also gets deleted or updated.

This from PocketNow.com's entry for version 2.0

"Summary:
New for 2.0: Sync anywhere on your Pocket PC with anywhere on your Desktop -- yes, even to your Compact Flash Card! Also now syncs folders!"

If you don't believe me download it and try it. I can assure you that it DOES work :-)

Default It looks like it will sync cards and safe store...

The link from here seems to work. I'm syncing my safe store right now. If this works, I'll probably buy it.

OK that was pretty fast. There was one problem. There's no cancel when you set up a sync and so if you try to close the Add Files for Syncing dialog box, it tries to sync what you've done. It should probably only save and instantiate the sync when you confirm with the Finish button. That caused the deletion of one of my files. Bummer. Other than that, this looks like a really cool program.

I don't know happens if you swap cards and sync again though. One would hope it notices that the card name has changed or something.

Default cool-

I was running a 1.x version, will be buying the 2.0 version for sure. I emailed the dev with 1 additional request- the ability to minimize the program to the system tray. This way it doesn't take up space on the start bar or whatever it's called.

Great program!!
