Default BarBQ Buddy

http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&platformId=2&productType=2&catalog=0&sectionId=0&productId=32452

Becoming the Yoda of BBQing has always been a goal of mine, but I'm certainly in need of some help. This app looks like it might leverage my Pocket PC power and make me a good cook...or not. Very innovative app - I've never seen anything like this.

"BarBQ Buddy has a lot to offer the novice and expert griller. Turn your grill into a precision cooking machine. Cook your food better than expensive restaurants. Tackle those large BarBQ parties with ease. Get detailed information for every item on the grill with a single tap. Each item has its own doneness indicator and the initials of the person the item is for. BarBQ Buddy takes the hassle out of grilling and gives you time to enjoy the party!"

You can purchase BarBQ Buddy for $19.95 from Handango. (Affiliate link)

The links do not seem to work. The product sounds like it may be interesting but...

$20 for a BBQ timer? Who on earth would use this thing? This seems to be another example of overpriced PDA software without a really viable use - after all, just having a look at your food on the barbie seems to work pretty well...

Default 20 dollars????

If you give me 20 bucks I'll come over to your BBQ and tell you when to flip those burgers. Heck, I'll do it for free food.

This program looks kinda cool (I like BBQing), but 20 dollars is WAY too much. I've never sat at my BBQ and thought to myself "Wow, I wish there was a computer app that guided me step-by-step through this complicated process."

You mean your Char-King Super Deluxe grill doesn't already come with an LCD touch screen control console?

Default Watch Out Palm!

Well I don't think those claims by Palm about the number of developers and software available will be used as an argument much longer
