Default Symbol gets a refill on their Pepsi contract

http://www.newsday.com/business/printedition/ny-bzli122743538jun12.story?coll=ny%2Dbusiness%2Dprint

"After receiving a $20-million contract from the world's largest Pepsi bottler, based in Somers, N.Y., last October, Symbol announced it has signed a contract with PepsiAmericas of Minneapolis, the world's second-largest bottler of Pepsi products. The new contract is worth $16 million over the next two years."

For those of you not familiar with how the soft drink industry works, companies like Pepsi and Coke do very little bottling of their own. Instead, they just whip up the syrup and ship it to bottlers around the world. The bottlers, who are independent from Pepsi, then make the drink, bottle it (or can it) and ship it out. This means that there are still quite a few Pepsi bottlers in the US alone, and that business is up for grabs, but right now, it seems Symbol and Pocket PC 2002 have the inside track.
