Flash 5 is here
http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/default.asp
Humphrey Riley did the sleuthing, and our pal pt did the confirming, but it's finally here: Flash 5 for the Pocket PC. At the moment it's just a download link on the PocketPC.com web site. Not even a "cover page" - but what do you care, right? Go grab it!

Am I missing something here? This link still takes you to the Casio Only download of Flash5 which has been there for ages!

Duncan, you might - just like me - have your firewall in a protective mood. When I switched off my firewall for the download, it worked.

You were right! But that is pretty wierd! Why would my firewall get in the way of the right download - and furthermore redirect me to the wrong page??!!
A download that requires me to switch off my firewall - send shivers down my spine...

Your firewall might be caching pages.

Flash 5 Seemingly not working
Has anyone else had a problem viewing Flash movies? I get blank areas. I have totally removed Flash from the registry, windows folder, etc and re-installed with no change (still no Flash movies).

You can get a blank screen if no player is installed or if the installed version is below the SWF version (trying to open Flash 5 with Flash 4 player). You may also have a malformed HTML wrapper for the SWF.
If the player is installed, try out FlashAssist. It lets you open SWF's directly without the need for a companion HTML file (which you need with IE). Also, it checks for which version of Flash player is installed and let's you know.
If you're sure you installed the player and FlashAssist still complains, your registry is somehow messed up. Hard reset or send me an email and I'll tell you what stuff to remove from the registry before trying another install.
You can get FlashAssist at:
http://www.antmobile.com
It's shareware but it's a fully functional eval version.
