Cellular Phone and Network Connection Monitor
http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&platformId=2&productType=2&catalog=0&sectionId=0&productId=15358
Here's a tool for anybody who likes to view just how and how often they are connected to various networks or dial-up accounts.
"Cellular Phone and Network Connection Monitor is a Pocket PC 2002 application allowing you to log all your modem, TCP/IP, serial & USB cable, Bluetooth or infrared connections. You get a complete overview of your connections to Internet over a wireless phone or to your company network using a CF modem."
Features:
Monitor all TCP/IP connections Monitor received/transmitted data rate Monitor and record receive/transmit amount of data Connections filter Status window displaying current connection type and time Application resides in a system tray so it is easy accessible Today plugin included Export to CSV file
David Andrews, who tipped us off to this application, makes a good point that this kind of tool could be very useful for anyone who needs to closely monitor their use of data services on a wireless GPRS account, especially if you have a limit on the amount of data transfer you can perform each month.

I've used this app for a little while and it works pretty good. I can't wait to try out one that Arne is previewing at PPCW.net http://ppcw.net/stories.php?story=02/04/25/4416785. I like how they've integrated it nicely with the PPC2k2. If you are looking for good stats though, I think the CSV export feature with this is pretty nice

I use sometimes WLAN (WiFi) and sometimes Bluetooth with my iPAQ, are there SEPARATE IP packet counters for WLAN (WiFi) and Bluetooth or are they coming together? It is important question because traffic over cell phone is not free...

Works well with most of my connections. Keeps separate track of my bluetooth dialup modem, bluetooth activesync via bt nullmodem, and usb activesync, keeping a record of date received and transmitted for each, and showing the speed of each on a graph. Only problem is with my Orinoco wireless 802.11 card where it doesn't seem to recognize this as a connection for tracking purposes, but does show the data traffic on the moving graph. Only other problem is that it seems to conflict on the today screen with animated today (the moving graph shows, but it the data portion is cut off by animated today.
All in all, its a great application and IMHO well worth the $9.95 price.
