Default Pharos HP Power Adaptor

http://www.pharosgps.com/products/accessories/ACCESSORIES.htm

This looks like a useful accessory for Jornada owners. Wouldn't it be nice if all Pocket PCs had a uniform power and expansion connector? It will likely never happen, because the OEMs like to prop up the profit margins with accessory sales and when you switch Pocket PCs they want you to buy all-new accessories. A sad truth, but that's why they call it "business" and not "friendness".

"The HP Jornada Power Adapter is a universal adapter that attaches with either an AC Power adapter (AC to 5V) or a Cigarette Lighter Adapter (12VDC to 5V) with standard 4.0x1.7mm DC plug. This is a convenient accessory that lets you charge your HP Jornada on the go."

Thanks to Dale Coffing's Pocket PC Passion site for the original link.

Until the 3835, Hp was the only PPC manufacturer to have a power connector that couldn't be used universally (i.e. my Casio E-100 power plug could recharge my 3650, EM-500, Genio, etc.). Why they did that ($$ on accessories, perhaps?) is somewhat of a mystery to me. Why make it HARD to recharge you HP PPC or iPAQ 3835 ?

A helpful product, but no on-line ordering...only links to distributors...
