Default New Compaq Expansion Packs

http://www.compaq.com/products/handhelds/pocketpc/options/expansion_packs.html

Compaq has finally released their new sleeves! They were announced and put up on the web site many weeks ago, but within a few hours they were pulled. It looks like they're here to stay - they have prices. Two models are available from our affiliate partner State Street Direct (you can't order them from Compaq yet, but you can place pre-orders with State Street Direct):

CF Card Expansion Pack Plus - $100 - also includes an integrated screen protector and a rechargeable, removable Slim Battery to extend the life of your iPAQ Pocket PC between charges.

PC Card Expansion Pack Plus - $150 - also includes an integrated screen protector and a rechargeable, removable Slim Battery to extend the life of your iPAQ Pocket PC between charges.

Can't wait for someone to review one. It's exactly what I've been hoping for.

I'm really curious as to how much more running time the extra battery provides. Would it be too optimistic to hope to get double the current batt life when using both the internal and a slim?

Anybody else think this is a little backwardly retarded? I mean, why not just make the Ipaq with it replaceable battery to begin with, basically they have said if you want an Ipaq with a replaceable battery you have 1 option, make your Ipaq a huge brick! Before everyone flames I realize Compaq commited to the sleeve format and while this helps the current battery situation you got to wonder how cool it would've been to be able to use these new batteries and packs interchangeably (sp!) use the same battery both in the Ipaq and Sleeve (dual purpose identical battery) now that would be sweet!

For real???? Cool, I remember thinking these were cool when I posted on them the last time...

I'd get one if I had an iPAQ, the thing is my jordana is great in the battery size/cover, and expansion areas...

Oh well.

Cheers
Sam
