Default The End of Digital

The Consumer Broadband and Digital Television Promotion Act seems more reasonable than the SSSCA on the surface. But will it actually mean the end of digital media?

As always, an interesting article.

Well, being able to record such programs would effectively contradict the pay-per-view business model. You aren't allowed to bring a video camera to a movie theater. In order to enjoy the program again, you'd have to pay for another view.

I definitely wouldn't like to pay everytime that I listened to a piece of my favorite music, even if it cost only a few pennies. I don't think that consumers are going to accept this. I am not.

By the way, would you consider switching to a font that's easier to read on-screen, such as Verdana or Tahoma?

It should use whatever sans-serif font you specified in your browser settings.

Good article Jeff. The idea of everything being pay-per-view is a very scary one. I've already decided that I'll never purchased an audio CD with DRM in it's current state, but if they start messing with my ability to tape my TV shows, jeese...

It seems like the browser picks Arial based on your CSS BODY setting.

Try clearing your browser cache. I changed the stylesheet.
