More cool news from CeBIT. Pretec has built a CompactFlash card for GSM/GPRS communication. The card enables both voice and data over GSM/GPRS networks. Yes, you may read that again. Both voice and data on CompactFlash card! Amazing!

"Pretec expects to begin shipping the CompactGPRS card bundled with BVRP software in the second quarter of this year to major IT companies and mass merchandisers around the world."

This is waaaaay too big take a look at these pix here, now go there to see a small card that is as much capable.

Default Availability of CF GPRS/GSM Card to Individuals in US
PRETEC's Account manager for this product just advised me that
the US release is set for Sept of right now and it will be available
thru most major retailers. (Not quite 2nd Qtr!)

:?: Any news about when the Audiovox version will be available in the US (specifically NYC). What carriers will these cards work with?

Also will the Pretec and/or the Audiovox card work with a Jornada 568?
