RealOne Player for Pocket PC
http://www.real.com/realonemobile/download.html
Jeremiah Owen just let us know that the RealAudio player for the Pocket PC is now out. I've downloaded it, but I'm unsure if I want to bother installing it. I've heard horror stories about the mess that the desktop version of RealOne makes, and I don't want something similar to happen on my Pocket PC. And there's the question of content: how often do I run across Real content? Not very often. What do you think of the player and it's uses?
"With the RealOne Player for Mobile Devices you will be able to...
Access your favorite RealAudio and RealVideo files made available for your mobile device Drag-and-drop your music files from your RealOne Player on your PC to your mobile device (PocketPC only) Access news, sports and entertainment updates Download content to your mobile device including music videos, travel guidance, auto reviews and much more."

As long as you take extreme care in stalling the software, and read every step of the install procedure, your fine. They try to control your media file extentions, but as long as you watch for it, you can change the install settings.
I'll be installing this when I get home tonight.

Real One
I'll wait for you guys to install it. After the mess it created on my desktop I won;t risk it with my PC. Real One is no better than Windows Media when it comes to controlling your desktop. And who knows when they'll try to shove their subscription service down your throat. I liked Pocket Divx but it needs work. I'm waiting for Musicmatch to join the fray.

Absolutely brilliant and you shouldn't worry about installing it.
Now, streaming media providers have an interesting choice in that they could stick to Windows Media and have their material open to a majority of the market.... or Real Media and know that whatever you use, whether it be Windows, Linux, Apple, BeOS, Symbian, and now (at last), PocketPC, people can access it.
Top news! Enjoy your media guys!

No Go!
When I click on the install icon it gives me an error message saying ActiveSync 3.1 or later is needed! I guess ActiveSync 3.5 is not considered later!!!!!
Edited:
You have to actually be connected when you try to install it.
