ReaderWorks Standard 2.0
http://www.overdrive.com/readerworks/downloads/default.asp?Download=RWSTAN
Marc Zimmerman let us know that ReaderWorks Standard 2.0 has been released as of Feb. 15th, 2002. If you're looking for a free way to make eBooks, this is your best option. I dislike the fact that they ask for a full registration before letting you download, but I guess there's always a trade-off for free software. The marketing folks want their info! :-)

Glad to see that they are improving on the ReaderWorks, it is a great piece of software.
Question though, why is this categorized under events?

Because it's not an uncommon "event" for me to space out and make errors like that. ;-) Fixed - thanks for the catch!

What I want to know is whether they are going to offer people like me who bought ReaderWorks Publisher 1 an upgrade path to RWP 2. I can see nothing about it on their site. I would hate to have supported them in the past and get absolutely nothing in return.

Check the site for an upgrade path. You should have received notice by email for a free upgrade if you purchased/installed in the past year.
I received an email the day of the release.
