Pocket PC Phone Edition information
http://www.pocketpc2002press.com/site/home/main500.asp?SiteArea=500a
The Pocket PC 2002 virtual press room of the 3GSM World Congress now shows screenshots of the Pocket PC Phone Edition. Take a look there, and you might get an idea how the Pocket PC / Phone combination works out in real life.
Update: for those of you who'd like to take a Guided Tour with subtitles to these screenshots, that is also possible.

Is it just me, or is everyone else also drooling over the new "extra bits" that PPC2k2PE has...
What I would like is for MS to offer an upgrade (free or small fee) to people with Bluetooth and a Bluetooth capable phone so that we can enjoy this functionality too. <subtext>Damn I want some new whizbang features to play with! But I know it's not going to happen.</subtext>

I think it uninstalls any non-microsoft software from the machine...

I have it installed on my 3870 & it works very well..... I can now dial from contacts and pick up the call on the bluetooth headset without ever touching the phone....

I am wanting the same thing. Hopefully, these components can be downloaded for the new CF type phone add-ons I hear about (Pretec)?

8O NO! No, and no!!!
I don't want to buy PocketPC with phone this year because next year 3G phones will be out and then what? Buy next one in 3G standard? This is nonsense!!! I prefer to have separate phone and PDA.
