Portable Media Center Hands-On Testing: I Have a Loaner Unit!
I got back from a week-long vacation, and I had a courier delivery slip waiting for me - guess what it was? A Creative Labs Portable Media Center loaner unit, courtesy of some kind folks at Microsoft. 
I'll have the unit for about two weeks, and I thought a "rolling review" might be the best way to approach this: I'll be doing up posts, likely every day or so, about specific aspects of the unit, what I think of it, what I've learned about it, etc. So far I'm excited about it, although there are definitely some gaps in functionality. Stay tuned for more PMC thoughts! :-)
UPDATE: I should be clear on the fact that this is a pre-production unit, where the software from Microsoft is final but the OEM optimizations from Creative are not.
