Default MPx200 discontinued?

So, at least around here, all the AT&T stores have stopped carrying the MPx200, and the sales people are up front that this is because the MPx220 is coming out, but don't know when. Any one has any inkling when it may be out?

If I recall correctly, September 27th is the expected day. I think this was announced back when they made the phone official.

I hope AT&T clears out its remaining inventory, and then maybe they will release the MPx220 early. Oh! What a sweet dream.

I was *just* at my local AT&T Wireless store (Seattle) because my Mpx200 died (USB port on the bottom failed, so it couldn't be charged). They mentioned that the Mpx200 had been discontinued, and that the Mpx220 had been moved back to November or December. He cited an official internal memo. The reasons, he said, were some system delays, and the moving ahead of the AT&T and Cingular merger.

For Motorola's sake, I hope this isn't true.

That was the unbranded model of the MPx220 I think. AT&T is to launch the phone sometime after that.

I wonder when the camera less version will be available to the public or make it's way to the public? Having seen all the reviews of the camera and how shotty it is, that's a feature I'm not to crazy about personally and the camera less model of the MPx220 is the one I am looking forward too.
