Default Restore Data on Your New iPad the Right Way

Select "Restore From iTunes Backup" and let the magic begin. Make sure, however, that you choose the most recent backup if you are restoring via iTunes.</p>

My iPad 2 has gotten a little slow/funky, so for my new iPad I opted to not restore anything and instead just build it up one app at a time - this time being a little less eager to download and try everything in sight.

My restore (using iTunes and USB) worked well, for two new iPads. At the end, I renamed wife's iPad, gave it a unique name, and disconnected/reconnected, and it did a new backup with the new name. Easy peasy. Now I just need to sell the old iPad2.
