Apple Lease With MTA Under Review
"Following yesterday's report from the New York Post detailing Apple's lease with the MTA for their new Grand Central retail store, State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli plans on looking into the deal and ensuring 'MTA hasn't given away the store'."
Well, charging $60 per square foot when the going rate is $200 per square foot would lead one to believe they are getting one heckuva deal wouldn't it? However apparently that is only for the first year and over the life of the least the average is $180 per square foot, so I guess it isn't too far off, but in light of questionable practices by the MTA, they are going ahead with the investigation into the lease.
