Default Always Ready for a House-call: WebMD for Android

http://lifehacker.com/5805317/webmd...alth-compendium

"Whether you're trying to figure out what's wrong with you (health-wise), locate a pharmacy or hospital, learning about drugs and treatments, or track your health problems, WebMD is an extremely comprehensive solution for all of those tasks."

The well known medical information site WebMD now has an app for Android.  It loads to the main menu you see in the middle of the image above.  To me, the most interesting feature was the "Symptom Checker", which is like a Google Body-lite.  It has a "Body" view and a "List" view.  These let you either select an area of the body by tapping or choosing the name of it from a list respectively.  The "Body" view supports pinch-to-zoom and dragging as well as giving a "Flip" link at the lower left to see the other side.  I looked a up a few things and thought it gave great information.  It showed me some of the possible side-effects of a medication I take that I would have rather not known.  I guess that means it's good!  It seems to be a detailed reference, at least for a mobile app.  It even shows photos of what a medication may look like.

I have a few other medical reference type apps that I've tried and right now I'm thinking this could replace them.  It seems to combine what they have and add to it.  Give it a try and let us know what you think!  btw...the source said it was slow.  I thought it ran great on my Droid X.  It does have a splash screen that loads before the main menu but the app itself doesn't seem slow to me.
