Apple and Jobs Recognized
"The strength of the iPad has pushed Apple ahead of Google for the first time as the most valuable brand in the world, according to Millward Brown's 2011 BrandZ study of the most-valuable global brands." Google has been atop this ranking for the last four years, but this year it was Apple at the top of the heap. China also making a splash as 12 of the top 100 are companies based there. Even Toyota, with all of their PR problems over the last year or two made for a strong showing, with their value rising 11% and putting them back on top of the automotive section. You can read through the list yourself right here. * And in Jobs news, he was recognized as number three in a list of engineering heros [link]. This is a list of "heroes" chosen by 900 engineering undergraduates in the UK that were surveyed by General Electric.*
