Google and YouTube, Competing With iTunes and Netflix?
"YouTube finally goes Hollywood as Google inks deals with big movie studios to let users rent the latest releases the same day as they appear on iTunes." At least that is according to this report from The Wrap. Google supposedly has deals with Sony, Warner Brothers and Universal. The rentals on YouTube will go for $2.00 USD to $4.00 USD, which is competitive with iTunes, but they obviously don't have the library size that iTunes has right now. The other factor is, in my opinion, the infrastructure that Apple has in place, namely Apple TV and AirTunes. Apple really makes it easy, as long as you have all of the pieces. What are your thoughts, does Google have a chance?
