Clean Up Your iTunes Library With... Rinse?
"Remember RealNetworks, the once-giant streaming company who boldly circumvented Apple's FairPlay digital rights management to make their own media player work with iTunes files? Now they're back with Rinse, a new effort to organize and clean up your iTunes library. Wait -- what?" RealNetworks? I thought they went out of business a long time ago, but apparently they have been working on other software, such as this application called "Rinse" that is supposed to be able to clean up your iTunes library. It cleans it up by removing duplicates, repair misspelled songs and fix album artwork among other things. I've merged libraries in the past and usually get the duplicate or missing link problems so having an easy fix some of those is intriguing, but how well does this program work? Spotty at best according to this mini review by Ben Brooks. If you are interested in at least fixing the duplicates, you can purchase it now from the Rinse site. Personally, unless I have a lot of duplicates, $39.00 USD seems a bit steep to me. What are your thoughts? What have you used to fix orphans or repair duplicates in your iTunes library?
