AT&T Ups the "Upgrade" Fee Across the Smartphone Board
"AT&T has increased the price existing wireless customers must pay if they want to upgrade to a newer-model smartphone before their existing service contract comes to an end." Pretty much across the board you now have to pay $50.00 USD more to upgrade your smartphone, regardless of brand or operating system (ie Android and Windows 7). AT&T attributes this to "increased costs" for the devices as reason for the increase.
