Default iTunes to Continue to Offer NBC (Comcast) Downloadable Content

http://www.appleinsider.com/article...bc_content.html

"Comcast agreed to continue licensing of NBC content to online video services like Apple's iTunes in order to receive government approval of its acquisition of broadcast network NBC."

Owning both the content and a primary delivery mechanism, Comcast has agreed to continue providing NBC programs to the iTunes Store. Obviously being scrutinized by the regulatory folks has had an impact, but, now a user can cancel their Comcast account, and still buy and watch NBC content via iTunes, and, pay Comcast indirectly. Seems like a win-win for Comcast, but, alas, they're still holding-out on providing streaming content for Apple TV 2.*
