Default Google Voice Users: Take Your Mobile Number With You!

http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/20...-number-to.html

"867-5309 could be one of the most iconic phone numbers of all time, but it's not the only number that a lot of us remember by heart. Many of us have a phone number that we've shared with family, friends, and contacts over the years and are reluctant to let go."

I personally know quite a few people who have been waiting for just this. Today Google announced that they have officially made number porting available to all current Google Voice users! Almost everyone I know has had the same mobile phone numbers for years. I can see why they wouldn't want to give that up. Me, personally? I don't really care. I don't use my phone for voice. Many people, however, live and die by their mobile phone. Many of those people have also become addicted to the amazing features that Google Voice brings to the table but just couldn't commit fully to it because they couldn't give up their old number. Well no more! Anyone else out there plan on moving their mobile number over to a Google Voice account?
