10 Billion Downloads Achieved! Winner Crowned and No, It Isn't Me!
"Apple on Saturday announced that its iOS App Store for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad has reached the milestone of 10 billion downloads since its launch in 2008." The contest started on January 14th this year, and ended over this past weekend, by someone in the UK downloading a free app called "Paper Glider." This past year the App Store had over 7 billion downloads, which far surpassed it's first year total of 1.5 billion.
