Default Update For The Nexus One Begins To Roll Out: Sadly Not The Gingerbread Man

http://www.androidcentral.com/nexus...not-gingerbread

"The Google Nexus One just got itself a little update. It's still Android 2.2.1 -- no Gingerbread yet, folks -- and the 1.3MB download looks to be a bunch of patches and bugfixes."

Okay, calm down folks. This isn't the update we've all been waiting for but perhaps it is and update to get us ready for the one we are really waiting for. The only thing I noticed was that the most recent Gmail update from the market is now in the ROM so I got that little bit of space back.

They guys over at Android Central have given the update a thorough tear down. They say it appears to touch almost every system application with larger updates for the Email app and Market. Most likely this is just a patch to get us ready for either the Market changes coming down the line and/or for the Gingerbread update. Let's hope this means we get a 2.3 update in the next week or so.
