Android Users Hate In-App Ads Way Less Than Other Mobile OS Users Says Nielsen
"Android users are more likely to click on ads within apps than people using other mobile operating systems, according to a new report on mobile applications by the Nielsen Company. One-third of Android users have clicked on an in-app ad compared to 29% for those with Windows Mobile, Apple's iOS, 26%, Palm, 22%, BlackBerry, 15%, and other types of operating systems, 24%." This is quite an interesting writeup of a recent Nielsen cross platform mobile app survey. The biggest takeaway is that Android users are more likely than any other mobile OS user to click on those in-app ads. This is good news for developers out there looking for a little extra cash flow. It is also good news for Android in general as it may be a good attractor to get new developers over to the platform. The rest of the article is worth a read as it goes into more detail about what type of app different OS users download most and paid vs free and such. So what about you? Are you an in-app ad clicker or hater?
