Default Gizmodo is Freaked Out - Are You?

http://gizmodo.com/5633196/google-i.../full+(Gizmodo)

Jesus Diaz at Gizmodo recently published a piece about Google's ambitious desire to augment your daily life with as many helpful suggestions (and sponsored ones as well) as possible. It's freaking him out, apparently. But perhaps to play Devil's advocate for a moment - is this a bad thing? As humans we only have a limited amount of resources with which to make decisions (Trust me, I know how to deplete all of them if I wish), and don't you have more important things you'd like to ponder than "Where should I eat lunch today?" If Google can help with the small stuff, doesn't that give me more time to think about the big stuff? I seriously doubt that even the most internet-and-cloud-centric person will ever just take Google's word for it on questions like "Where should I go to college?" or "Should I marry this person?" or "Would daddy like this casket?" (Actually, might just want to take Google's word on the last one, Dad won't mind).

What do you think? Is Google's effort to become your third half a good or bad thing?
