Interesting - that's the first I've heard of it. I just got a new 17" Fujitsu laptop and it doesn't even have SATA. Given the results of SATA on the desktop where it has no advantage over IDE drives, I somehow doubt we'll see a rush to SATA in laptops for while, until there's some benefit to it.
