We've also guessed that Samsung's T709 would be involved, and though we still don't have anything approaching an official confirmation, these pictures have filled in some blanks for us."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/ekkie_tmo_wifi_engadgetmobile_200608.jpg" /><br /><br />I <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=411669">posted</a> yesterday on an NY Times article discussing the future of dual-mode phones, it appears that Engadget Mobile has some great info and snapshots on what appears to be T-Mobile's first UMA-supported phone, which is manufactured by Samsung. Unfortunately, it appears the phone itself is a bit lacking and the performance so far has been inconsistent amongst the beta testers, but I believe we all have come to expect hiccups in first-generation devices. More importantly, this does symbolize that the future is much closer to realization than ever before.
